Baseball 2017 Liam and Declan

Liam started his season way back in February with the 10 and under skills team. They spend two months practicing indoors then play games once a week from the end of March through mid-June. His regular/in house team was the South Carolina Gamecocks and coached by Daddy. Liam played very well this year on both teams. He started working very hard at becoming a good catcher with his Gamecocks team. He really likes catcher and second base. During his skills games he played outfield and second most of the time. Liam makes everything look easy.

Declan moved up to the farm league this year. This is when they start learning that there are specific positions in baseball. They also start the season with the coach pitching all innings and transition to kid pitch every other inning about mid-season. This is a big highlight for all the kids. Declan's coach was great and made sure each kid had a chance to play every position on the field. The team started off a little slow and not winning too much but when the playoffs came they came alive and really played well making it into the championship game. They came in second. Declan was so proud.

I love how the coach (the one kneeling) is showing his excitement for Declan's hit.

Way to go Declan!!
