Take me out to the ball game..... or games as the case maybe.

Baseball is in full swing at the Shockey house.

This is just one of many fields we will be spending a lot of time visiting this summer as all five boys are in baseball and t-ball this year. That gives us six and a half teams. (Colin is sometimes playing with the 11's skills team when they need subs) Both Liam and Colin have been practicing and playing with a skills team since February and games began at the end of March for the skills teams. Where the in house/regular season team season opened last weekend. We had games on Saturday from noon to 4:00 and Sunday our games started at 2:00 and ended about 8:00 at night. It was a long, beautiful weekend and a great start to the season!

Colin just tagged the runner out at third during his in-house season opener.

This year Daddy is coaching Colin's majors in-house team. Colin is very excited! Daddy is a little nervous.

Tristan loves the game it's great to see his growth the past few years and watch him become a leader on his team.

Liam is on the Oklahoma State (OSU) team in his division this year. It's a good thing my favorite color is orange because we sure have a lot of orange jerseys this season.

Liam ready at second base playing his with his OSU team.

Liam focused on striking the batter out.

We have two little boys that are both very excited to be starting their little league careers! Declan and Grayson had their first t-ball practice last Saturday and they were both had a great time.

Declan practicing his hitting and base running.

He turned around to be sure I saw he made it to first base.

Grayson and Declan working on fielding.

Grayson focused on his hitting.

So we begin our summer 2016 baseball season with five boys six teams and a whole lot of fun lined up. If you're looking for us we will be at the ballpark.

Happy Easter

We had a fun weekend with Easter. Saturday the boys were able to go to Gramma's church for an egg hunt. It was cold and rainy which cancelled baseball and they all were able to go. Grayson and Declan found so many eggs they had so much fun. Liam was so nice that as he was collecting eggs he was re-hiding them for some of the kids who didn't have as many.

Grayson's goodies from inside the eggs. A very excited boy for so many treats.

Later Saturday afternoon we dyed seven dozen eggs. Lucky for me I found eggs for just fifty cents a dozen Friday. They all have so much fun decorating the eggs and at that price they each got their own dozen,

Six and a half dozen eggs made it through. That sure is a lot of eggs

This year Tristan and Colin helped and watched Grayson, Declan and Liam search for eggs.

His egg had a hole. I guess he did not like it.

It was a beautiful sunny day. I loved all the boys' bright colored shirts.

Resurrection Eggs

Declan has been working the past few weeks on leaning the about the Resurrection at school. They made Resurrection eggs that told the story. He was so very  excited to share with all of us. Here he is.

Basketball for Liam

These past two months Liam has been trying out basketball. He joined a team from the church we go to and had a good time learning and improving his skills. It was a nice introduction for all of us into basketball. At one game Declan said "I want to play basketball and not baseball you move more in basketball." so true. He is such a good player and things seem to come easy to him. Liam was a great team player and excellent defender.

A very fun season. We look forward to more basketball next year.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Grayson!!!!

This amazing goof ball just turned four years old today!

Happy Birthday Grayson. You are such an awesome little (big) boy. You have brought so much joy to our family. You are our rambunctious, funny, kind, dare devil boy who keeps us on our toes. You love playing with your brothers, you love all your superheros but Batman is still your favorite. You love to explore and we love the way you jump into life with so much gumption, spirit and pure joy. You are one of a kind and we love you so very much!

We spent the morning enjoying the beautiful weather and celebrating our little/big man at the zoo with Declan and Gramma. I find it crazy that the past three birthdays for this guy it has been perfect zoo weather. Never thought that a February birthday boy would spend his special day outside at the zoo. We enjoyed every minute of it to day especially the gorillas that were showing off today. It's so much fun when the animals are playful.

Declan having a good discussion with the gorilla.

Grayson was in love with the sharks today.

Declan was intrigued by the sting rays. There were so many to see today.

A pre-birthday celebration at our favorite Mexican dinner place. Silly boy happy to wear the sombero.

We look forward to a wonderful year and cannot wait to see what four brings to our amazing beautiful big boy.
